Our client, a leading technical consultancy specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, and Advisory services across Canada, is seeking a Manager, Construction Management for their Vancouver, BC office. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who thrives on business development, team growth, and leveraging strong business acumen to expand divisions and drive success.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development:

  • Drive growth by securing new clients, leading RFP efforts, and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Travel as needed to support client engagement and project delivery.


Project Delivery:

  • Lead the execution of major infrastructure projects, including utilities, marine, energy, infrastructure, and facilities.
  • Manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee consultants, contractors, contracts, budgets, and permitting processes.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, to ensure project alignment.


Team Leadership:

  • Build and grow the Construction Management team, focusing on recruitment, mentorship, and staff development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience managing major infrastructure projects (utilities, marine, energy, infrastructure, and facilities).
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) required; PMP and safety certifications are assets.
  • Strong leadership, business development, and contract administration skills.
  • Proficiency in construction techniques, scheduling software, and safety standards.
