OVERHEAD CRANE TECHNICIAN
CFM is an integrated provider of support to the world’s most demanding industries. We manufacture, service, and install our customers' highly specialized systems. We have multiple facilities in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to serve Atlantic Canada, the North Eastern US, and the World.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Overhead Crane Technician.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrical or Industrial Millwright ticket considered an asset
- 10,000 hours of crane servicing experience considered an asset
- Class 5 Drivers License required
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Willing and able to work at heights up to 125 feet
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team or individually as needed
- Conduct quality crane inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
- Be available for “on-call” breakdown work
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine equipment layout
- Complete both electrical and mechanical servicing of lifting equipment
- Perform inspections to CSA B167, CMAA, and provincial regulations
- Consult with customers regarding inspection results, repairs, and modifications
- Assess, repair, and modify lifting equipment as required
- Maintain customer logs with completed inspections and servicing
- Oversee, train, and monitor junior staff
- Approve and sign off on all inspection reports and crane certifications
- Test each crane repair for complete functionality
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other general maintenance duties on lifting equipment
