Role: EHR Analyst

Location: Remote ( Anywhere in Canada, needs to work in Eastern time Zone)

Position Summary:

The Cerner EHR Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the organization’s electronic health record (EHR) system. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, efficient workflows, and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Cerner workflows, FHIR integrations, and must have working hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL) coding.


Responsibilities:

EHR System Maintenance:

  • Collaborate with IT professionals, including software developers and database administrators, to ensure seamless integration of the EHR system.

Workflow Optimization:

  • Analyze existing workflows for registration, scheduling
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to streamline processes and enhance user experience.

FHIR Integration:

  • Ensure successful integration of third-party systems via FHIR standards.

CCL Coding:

  • Write and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts to customize and enhance system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug CCL code as needed.

Documentation and Training:

• Create user manuals, training materials, and documentation related to the EHR system.

• Train end-users on system features and best practices.


Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Cerner workflows and system configuration.

• Experience with FHIR standards and HL7 interfaces.

• Comfortable with Cerner Command Language (CCL) coding.


Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Cerner Millennium.

• Knowledge of healthcare processes and clinical workflows.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
