Senior Business Analyst

This is a part-time contract position for 2 months (20 hours per week)Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Business Analyst position plays a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality services to our customers. They work under general direction and are responsible for combining sophisticated analytical skills with tactical leadership skills to contribute to the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of all work completed under their guidance. The Business Analyst is the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of the software product’s features.They have experience working on software development projects in an agile process, are great at communicating with developers, testers, and designers, are detail-oriented, and love digging into requirements to understand what the requirements are and delivering them in a demonstrable way.AccountabilitiesWork closely with clients to gather, understand, and define business requirementsOwn and develop a relationship with clients, working with them to optimize and enhance our integrationConvert business requirements into user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria are defined and understood by the project delivery teamBe aware of common sources of technical issues and questions, and make recommendations to the teamCommunicate key insights and findings to the teamWork closely with the delivery team to ensure requirements are understood and questions are answeredMaintain the project requirement backlog ensuring complete coverage and prioritization of requirementsHelp in release planning by identifying gaps and dependencies amongst requirementsConstantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the monitoring and discovery of issues and deliver better value to the customerMaintain a Quality mindset and contribute to regular reviews of project team deliverablesAssist with UAT testingQualifications6+ years experience in Business / Systems AnalysisA degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalentDemonstrable experience in eliciting and documenting requirementsExperience working directly with ClientsMust have experience in Healthcare Diagnostics or Laboratory DomainsExperience being the sole Business Analyst working on a projectExperience working on Software Development projectsExperience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and toolsKnowledge in generating clear and concise process documentationStrong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skillsAbout UsEmids is healthcare's digital transformation leader, delivering business and tech solutions that help payers, providers and tech-enablers maximize technology to deliver care better since 1999As a global partner headquartered in Nashville, TN, Emids helps bridge the critical gaps in accessible, affordable, high-quality healthcare by providing advisory consulting services, custom application development, and data solutions.
