We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Contractor Technician based out of Moncton, NB.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • General repairs to waste equipment such as compactors and balers.
  • Perform diagnostic checks on structure, electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Preventative maintenance inspections throughout New Brunswick.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

  • Previous working experience on machinery, including Hydraulics or electrical an asset.
  • Capable to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings and mechanical

blueprints to properly diagnose, repair and replace various parts and components

  • An acute attention to detail coupled with experience working with hand tools such as drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, and measurement tape.
  • Strong verbal communication skills while maintaining professional appearance, positive attitude, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions year-round and wearing protective clothing while working in or near garbage, recycling, or compost material.
  • Welding or Millwright background would be considered an asset.
