Position Summary: We are currently in search of a skilled Contractor Technician based in Moncton, NB, to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct general repairs on waste management equipment, including compactors and balers.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations on structural, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance inspections across New Brunswick.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with machinery, particularly in hydraulics or electrical systems, is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints for accurate diagnosis, repair, and replacement of components.
  • Strong attention to detail with proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, and measuring tapes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, complemented by a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions year-round and to wear protective gear while handling waste, recycling, or compost materials.
  • A background in welding or millwright work is considered beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
