Compactor Technician

Fero Waste & Recycling Inc, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is an Environmental Services company that services NB/NS. For over 20 years, Fero has been providing integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Contractor Technician based out of Moncton, NB.

**Primary duties and responsibilities**:

- General repairs to waste equipment such as compactors and balers.
- Perform diagnostic checks on structure, electrical and hydraulic components.
- Preventative maintenance inspections throughout New Brunswick.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Previous working experience on machinery, including Hydraulics or electrical an asset.
- Capable to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings and mechanical

blueprints to properly diagnose, repair and replace various parts and components
- An acute attention to detail coupled with experience working with hand tools such as drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, and measurement tape.
- Strong verbal communication skills while maintaining professional appearance, positive attitude, and a safety-first mindset.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions year-round and wearing protective clothing while working in or near garbage, recycling, or compost material.
- Welding or Millwright background would be considered an asset.
