Entry Level Weekend Translation Project Manager

Overview:
As the entry-level role, the Project Coordinator must have excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate projects under pressing deadlines while maintaining high quality standards. Under the supervision of the Director of Production and Project Managers, you will need to provide guidance and motivate linguists, production team members, and other process contributors. You will also be in charge of executing various tasks at different stages of the project life cycle to help the project owners ensure on-time and quality delivery to our client. This job require someone with great relationship-building skills who can clearly communicate with stakeholders at different levels of the organization. Operating Tuesday – Friday 10 am to 7 pm
Saturday from 8 am to 5pm
Description:
- Coordinate simple projects from beginning to end including budget, negotiating with freelance and in house linguists, ensure deadlines are met or exceeded and sign-off on completed project
- Prepare linguistic content for translation
- Establish a schedule of tasks for each project
- Establish schedules and milestones for the projects
- Monitor the product at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy
- Complete administrative tasks including PO creation and approval, schedules, status tracking, etc.
- Review job specification to make sure product meets client needs
- Ensure that all deliverables have the highest quality standards
- Ensure client satisfaction through the successful coordination of translation and localization projects to deadlines and within budget
- Contribute to the development of client loyalty and to an increase in the number of accounts managed
- Implement and control QA procedures and processes
- Assist Project Managers in daily tasks as needed
- Monitor daily activities
- Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver relevant information in a timely manner to internal and external contacts
- Prepare TM Quotes and DTP quotes along with the Localization Engineer
- Participate in team meetings
Required Skills:
- Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple tasks.
- Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines and when managing several simultaneous requests.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize activities on a daily basis to accomplish goals.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related area of expertise.
- Superior communication skills, fluent in English and French.
- Experience in a fast-paced industry where the work is more of a transactional nature.
- Prior experience with standard translation management tools is considered an asset (Idiom, Trados, Wordfast, SDLX, Catalyst…).
- Knowledge of Acrobat, HTML and XML is considered an asset.
- Experience with document sharing platforms is considered an asset.

À titre de personne-ressource de niveau d’entrée, le coordonnateur de projets doit posséder d’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, ainsi que la capacité de coordonner des projets ayant des échéanciers serrés, tout en respectant des normes de qualité élevée. Sous la supervision du directeur de production et des chargés de projets, vous devrez également fournir des directives et motiver les linguistes, les membres de l’équipe de production ainsi que toute autre personne participant au processus. Vous exécuterez des tâches diverses à différentes étapes du cycle de vie des projets afin d’assurer une remise ponctuelle et de qualité pour notre clientèle. Bien que de nature administrative, cet emploi exige une personne dotée d’aptitudes marquées lui permettant de développer des relations et de communiquer clairement avec les parties prenantes à différents niveaux de l’entreprise. Il s’agit d’une excellente occasion pour quelqu’un souhaitant commencer sa carrière ou progresser vers un rôle de gestionnaire de projet
Les jours et heures de travail sont les suivants:
du mardi au vendredi de 10 h 00 à 19 h 00, puis le samedi de 8 h 00 à 17 h 00
Description :
- Coordonne des projets simples du début à la fin, y compris le budget, la négociation avec les pigistes et les langagiers internes, le respect des échéances ou leur devancement, et l’approbation écrite une fois le projet achevé;
- Prépare le contenu linguistique aux fins de la traduction;
- Établitun horaire des tâches pour chaque projet;
- Établit un horaire et des jalons pour les projets;
- Surveille le produit à diverses étapes du processus afin d’en assurer la qualité et l’exactitude;
- Accomplit des tâches administratives, comme la création et l’approbation de bons de commande, la planification des horaires et le suivi des statuts;
- Passe en revue les spécifications du travail afin de s’assurer que le produit répond aux besoins du client;
- S’assure que tous les produits livrables respectent les normes de qualité les plus élevées qui soient;
- Veille à la satisfaction du client, grâce à une coordination réussie des projets de traduction et de localisation en respectant les échéanciers et le budget;
- Contribue à la fidélisation de la clientèle et à la hausse du nombre de comptes gérés;
- Met en place et contrôle les procédures et processus d’assurance de la qualité;
- Aide les chargés de projets à accomplir des tâches quotidiennes, au besoin;
- Veille à l’accomplissement des activités quotidiennes;
- Classe par ordre de priorité de multiples projets dans un milieu où les activités se déroulent à un rythme rapide;
- Fournit des renseignements pertinents de manière opportune à des personnes-ressources internes et externes;
- Prépare les soumissions pour les mémoires de traduction et la publication assistée par ordinateur en collaboration avec l’ingénieur de localisations
- Participe aux réunions d’équipe.

- Être capable d’effectuer plusieurs choses à la fois afin d’exécuter une multitude de tâches simultanément.
- Détenir des aptitudes exceptionnelles en résolution de problèmes et en pensée critique.
- Conserver son professionnalisme dans toutes les situations, particulièrement dans des délais serrés et lors de la gestion de plusieurs demandes simultanées.
- Avoir d’excellentes aptitudes organisationnelles et une capacité à hiérarchiser quotidiennement les activités pour atteindre les objectifs.
- Porter une attention particulière à l’égard de la finalité et des détails (p. ex. l’orthographe et la grammaire).
- Posséder de fortes habiletés informatiques et une aisance avec la technologie changeante.
- Manifester une volonté d’apprendre et une ouverture à relever tout nouveau défi; s’épanouir par le succès.
- Adopter une attitude positive face au changement, un état d’esprit axé sur la clientèle et une approche préventive pour éviter et résoudre les problèmes.
Expérience et qualifications requises :
- Détenir au moins un baccalauréat dans un champ de compétence connexe.
- Posséder d’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer et une parfaite maîtrise de l’anglais et du français.
- Avoir de l’expérience dans une industrie dynamique où le travail est transactionnel.
- Connaître les outils habituels de gestion des traductions est un atout (Idiom, Trados, Wordfast, SDLX, Catalyst…).
- Maîtriser Acrobat, HTML et XML est un atout.
- Connaître des plateformes de partage de documents est un atout.
