Overview:

The Senior Project Manager is a key player for high-visibility accounts at TransPerfect International Montreal. Your mandate will be to oversee larger-scope accounts and their projects, which are tailored as business solutions for enterprise clients. Having direct contact with end-clients, you will represent them within our operations and serve as an extension of their brand. You will oversee all related assets, serve as direct liaison to linguistic teams dedicated to those accounts, and ensure proper information dissemination to anyone working on the accounts falling under your purview. Although this role has no direct reports, you will be involved in offering training, and daily support and oversight to some Project Managers.


Description:

  • Manage a portfolio of higher visibility accounts and their projects by either directly managing or providing oversight.
  • Prior to initiating project workflow, liaise with Account Executives to ensure that the client’s expectations have been clearly understood; identify critical missing information that would effect the quality and/or service delivery.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to educate/advise clients regarding the best way to accomplish their goals for individual projects and for departments as a whole – contacting clients directly if needed.
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day of small and large projects throughout their life-cycle, including: planning, executing, budget management, vendor management, quality assurance, delivery, and updating Management as needed.
  • In collaboration with Linguistic Department representatives, oversee all reference materials/glossaries provided by the client to maximize consistency and quality.
  • Identify and document best practices for managing large accounts under your purview.
  • Act as the expert with respect to the processes and procedure required to ensure consistent successful delivery of all projects for each account.
  • Provide pertinent information transfer regarding any account/project status in a manner that can be well-understood by stakeholders who are of a different mindset than you.
  • Organize and lead internal team meetings with different stakeholders related to your accounts to ensure on-target-delivery and production and quality optimization.
  • Track KPIs and offer insight into areas of improvement to sustain the health of the accounts.
  • Assess and report on P&L of the accounts.
  • Work with Account Executives to help manage the end-client’s expectations; manage escalated issues and quality investigations as they arise.
  • Build relationships with your key stakeholders and their internal and external representatives.
  • Offer training and daily guidance to new Project Managers, so that they become familiarized with the accounts.
  • Make recommendations to your manager on ways to improve service delivery as part of TDC-Montreal’s commitment to continual improvement.


Required Skills:

  • Superior communication skills, fluent in English and French.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related area of expertise.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in the Translation industry.
  • Experience in a fast-paced industry where the work is more of a transactional nature.
  • Prior experience with standard translation management tools is considered an asset (Idiom, Trados, Wordfast, SDLX, Catalyst…).
  • Knowledge of Acrobat, HTML and XML is considered an asset.
  • Experience with document sharing platforms is considered an asset.

Le gestionnaire de projet principal joue un rôle important en ce qui concerne les comptes à forte notoriété chez TransPerfect Montréal. Votre mandat sera de superviser les comptes de grande envergure et leurs projets. À ce titre, vous les gérerez comme des solutions d’affaires adaptées sur mesure pour les clients des grandes entreprises. En contact direct avec les clients finaux, vous les représenterez dans le cadre de nos activités et serez le prolongement de leur marque. Vous superviserez tous les actifs connexes, serez la personne-ressource pour les équipes linguistiques attitrées à ces comptes et veillerez à la diffusion adéquate des informations à toute personne travaillant sur les comptes sous votre responsabilité. À ce poste, vous n’aurez aucun subordonné direct, mais vous participerez à la formation de certains gestionnaires de projet tout en leur offrant quotidiennement de l’aide et de l’encadrement.


Description :

  • Gérer un portefeuille de comptes à forte notoriété et leurs projets (gestion directe ou supervision).
  • Avant d’entamer le projet, communiquer avec les directeurs de comptes pour vous assurer que les attentes du client ont été clairement comprises; déterminer tous les renseignements essentiels manquants dont l’omission pourrait avoir des répercussions sur la qualité ou la prestation du service.
  • Assurer la coordination avec les directeurs de comptes afin d’informer et de conseiller les clients sur la meilleure façon d’atteindre leurs objectifs pour chaque projet et pour l’ensemble des services, en communiquant directement avec les clients si nécessaire.
  • Assurer la gestion quotidienne des petits et grands projets tout au long de leur cycle de vie, soit : la planification, l’exécution, la gestion du budget, la gestion des pigistes, l’assurance de la qualité, la livraison et le suivi auprès de la direction au besoin.
  • En collaboration avec les représentants du Service langagier, passer en revue tous les documents de référence et les glossaires fournis par le client pour optimiser la cohérence et la qualité.
  • Définir et consigner les pratiques exemplaires en matière de gestion des comptes importants sous votre responsabilité.
  • Être l’expert relativement aux processus et aux procédures requis pour assurer l’exécution cohérente et réussie de tous les projets pour chaque compte.
  • Communiquer clairement les renseignements pertinents liés au statut de tout compte ou projet aux partenaires ayant un point de vue qui diffère du vôtre.
  • Organiser et diriger des réunions d’équipe internes avec différents intervenants associés à vos comptes afin d’assurer la livraison dans les délais prévus et l’optimisation de la production et de la qualité.
  • Faire le suivi des indicateurs de rendement clé et communiquer les points à améliorer afin d’assurer la pérennité des comptes.
  • Réaliser des évaluations et produire des rapports sur les profits et les pertes liées aux comptes.
  • Travailler avec les directeurs de comptes pour soutenir la gestion des attentes des clients finaux; gérer les problèmes faisant l’objet d’une escalade et les enquêtes sur la qualité à mesure qu’ils surviennent.
  • Tisser des liens avec vos partenaires principaux ainsi que leurs représentants internes et externes.
  • Offrir de la formation et des conseils au quotidien aux nouveaux gestionnaires de projets afin qu’ils se familiarisent avec les comptes.
  • Formuler des recommandations à votre superviseur sur des façons d’améliorer la prestation des services dans le cadre de l’engagement de TDC Montréal envers l’amélioration continue.

Expérience et qualifications requises :

  • Détenir au moins un baccalauréat dans un champ de compétence connexe.
  • Avoir au moins trois ans d’expérience en gestion de projet dans le domaine de la traduction.
  • Avoir de l’expérience dans une industrie dynamique où le travail est transactionnel.
  • Connaître les outils habituels de gestion des traductions est un atout (Idiom, Trados, Wordfast, SDLX, Catalyst…).
  • Maîtriser Acrobat, HTML et XML est un atout.
  • Connaître des plateformes de partage de documents est un atout.
