The successful incumbent will lead transformative initiatives to evolve talent and workforce planning processes, while supporting talent acquisition and retention strategies.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Advise and contribute to the overall talent strategy to meet current and future organizational needs. Translate strategic planning into actionable operational results.
  • Define and oversee strategic approaches for implementing workforce plans, including developing methodologies, workflows, processes, policies, and tools.
  • Deliver integrated sourcing strategies to attract a strong candidate pool, utilizing various tools, techniques, and technology.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to develop creative strategies addressing talent acquisition and workforce planning requirements, ensuring human capital retention.
  • Maintain expertise in talent market trends, providing insights to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators, tracking hiring success, and adjusting plans to respond to evolving organizational needs. Deliver regular data and reports to demonstrate human capital health.
  • Collaborate with HR and operational leaders to optimize talent acquisition processes, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience, with specific experience in recruitment/talent acquisition preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an unionized setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ATS, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives.
  • Experience leading career fairs and/or campus initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, WSIB, Human Rights Code, AODA, Labour Relations Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.


Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a Hospital or Heath Care environment.
