Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Director, Financial Controls & Reporting, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  1. Responsible for assessing, implementing, reviewing, and reporting on internal controls and control recommendations, working in alignment with the US VP Financial Controls.
  2. Oversee the financial reporting team responsible for reporting to parent Company.
  3. Responsible for acquisition accounting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corresponding with parent Company and US technical accounting.
  4. Responsible for review of impairment analysis and documentation.
  5. Oversight of off ledger accounting and consolidation.
  6. Provide analysis and guidance related to IFRS.
  7. Coordinate and liaise with external and internal auditors relating to controls and financial audit.
  8. Maintain the analysis, process, and controls around the balance sheet.

  1. CPA designation is a requirement.
  2. Experience with implementation of SOX or internal control frameworks.
  3. 3+ years experience in audit, controls and change management.
  4. 2+ years experience mentoring/coaching a team.
  5. Detail oriented, precise, deadline driven and accurate.
  6. Ability to communicate with various levels in the organization, including external auditors and executive leadership.
