Job Title: Director of Finance

The Mason Group - Strategic Search Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join their team. As a key member of the organization, the Director of Finance will be responsible for leading the finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, and administrative functions for the company and its related parties and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage the company's cash flow, investments, and funding requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ensure effective risk management and internal controls.
  • Lead the implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Canadian CPA/CA with knowledge of applicable reporting standards.
  • 10+ years of experience in a financial oversight role.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Good commercial understanding and knowledge of business drivers.
  • Experience managing finance and treasury functions.
  • Familiarity with legal agreements, including shareholder's agreements, employee contracts, capital structure agreements, commercial contracts, and various governance documentation.
  • Good communication skills, including regular interaction with, and presentation to, senior management.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills, professionalism, and initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-developed ethical and moral standards.
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, capital and investment markets would be beneficial.
