Overview:
As a Night Auditor at Rosemead House, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. You will combine your hospitality skills with a strong accounting background managing front desk operations, guest services, and nightly financial reconciliations, providing a seamless experience for our guests and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:

  1. Welcome and check-in guests with exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  2. Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  3. Process guest check-outs, settle bills, and provide detailed invoices upon request.

Nightly Reconciliation:
  1. Perform end-of-day financial closing, including balancing cash, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
  2. Reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  3. Prepare and distribute daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and departmental summaries.

Guest Services:
  1. Maintain a high level of hospitality and service, ensuring guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
  2. Assist with luggage handling, reservations, and any special requests from guests.
  3. Monitor security systems and perform nightly property checks to ensure safety and security.
  4. Serve late night room service for guests after facilities are closed, if required.

Accounting Support:
  1. Process financial transactions, including room charges, restaurant bills, and miscellaneous charges.
  2. Ensure all financial documentation is accurate and complete, following company policies and procedures.

Administrative Duties:
  1. Update and maintain guest information and hotel records in the property management system.
  2. Prepare daily financial summaries and assist in the preparation of financial statements for management review.
  3. Ensure all cash handling and financial transactions are conducted in accordance with company policies.

Problem Resolution:
  1. Handle guest issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency, escalating to management as necessary.
  2. Respond to emergencies and incidents, ensuring guest safety and security at all times.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in a hotel front desk or night audit role, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and accounting procedures.
  2. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  3. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail in financial reconciliation.
  4. Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. An understanding of POS and PMS systems.
  8. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
