THE MANAGER-IN TRAINING (MIT) PROGRAM WILL HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintaining open communication with all departments within the store
  2. Having a strong presence on the floor; being available and approachable; supporting our team of associates
  3. Team development; creating an environment of teamwork, support and collaboration
  4. Liaising with home office to share feedback and access information; ensuring associates and managers have access to the information they need to perform their jobs effectively
  5. Training and people development; building a talent pool of future managers
  6. Recruitment: conducting interviews, hiring and onboarding; ensuring a positive, successful orientation process for new associates
  7. Resolving customer issues and providing a positive, seamless service experience
  8. Managing daily store operations; ensuring company policies and procedures are met
  9. Preparing for and conducting effective and engaging meetings
  10. Supporting the General Manager and other department managers
  11. Acting as Duty Manager: responsible for opening/closing store, addressing high-level issues and providing on-site support to associates and customers
  12. Assisting in preparation and execution of promotions and events
  13. Completing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
  14. Managing the flow of merchandise throughout the store; bringing in new products and clearing out discontinued merchandise
  15. Managing merchandise that is not available for sale; addressing product concerns with vendors and buyers
  16. Ensuring general safety and security of store, associates, and customers
  17. Other duties as assigned
