CAD Project Coordinator

Our client in the mechanical services industry is looking for a CAD Project Coordinator to come join their team on-site at their office in Prince George, BC.


**Must live in Prince George, BC as there is no relocation available for this opportunity**


You will work closely with senior management and other office staff as well as assist the technicians, suppliers and customers accordingly.


The ideal candidate will have experience working at a mechanical company or similar, be familiar with various mechanical systems, piping, HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will know how to use AutoCAD and be able to prepare various drawings.


Other responsibilities will include:

-Assisting with quoting and bid process

-Ordering and coordinating deliveries

-Issuing purchase orders

-Assisting with project budgeting and estimating

-Assembling shop drawings, maintenance manuals and other project documentation

-Scheduling and progress tracking

-Follow up and coordinate with onsite foreman

-Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers

-Providing service and following up with customers

-Deficiency reports

-Regulatory compliance management

-Process improvement and quality control of internal company systems


Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Compensation is based on experience and credentials and ranges from $65K to $75K annually and includes benefits, vacation and RRSP program


Requirements:

-Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in a mechanical or construction environment doing project coordination or similar

-Experienced using AutoCAD

-Ability to produce various project drawings for mechanical systems

-Experience using Bluebeam software an asset

-Excellent computer skills (including MS Xcel)

-High attention to details and ability to multi-task

-Very organized and ability to prioritize

-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

-Customer service oriented

-Driver’s license with clean driving record

- Authorized to work in Canada for any employer
