Junior IT Support Specialist
Our company is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal staff, assisting with maintenance of our IT infrastructure, user account creation and administration, and picking up jobs from the queue.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to internal staff via phone, email, and in person
- Pick up calls from the queue and assist users with technical issues
- Manage and maintain mainframe, networks, and servers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups
- Troubleshoot or repair problems with hardware, software, and office equipment
- Update Internet site, ADP system, phone system, and other applications
- Monitor and maintain user permissions and rights
- Set up new users on phones, voicemail, ADP, cellular phones, pagers, and software systems and train new users on communication equipment
- Assist with training and IT education as needed
Role Requirements
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office
- Proven experience in building and maintaining hardware
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and pick up jobs from the queue as needed
