PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY TASKS:

The Intermediate Project Engineer is responsible for:

  • Supporting the managing of projects and meeting the objectives on time and to the required standards in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management industry within the highly demanding and fast paced Oil and Gas environment.
  • Involved in all aspects of engineering for project(s) and will be a point of contact for clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring team stakeholder satisfaction.



SECONDARY ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY TASKS

The Intermediate Project Engineer is responsible for:

  • Supporting preliminary project design basis, budgeting and scheduling.
  • Support design basis memorandum.
  • Accurately produce AFE estimates.
  • Support design brief memorandum and establish project design parameters and assumptions.
  • Support work to various disciplines within and outside the company.
  • Support review of project specifications.
  • Support detailed calculations, specification of equipment; review and check engineering drawings.
  • Support engineering quality control and quality assurance of production work.
  • Support preparation and review contract documents for equipment and construction work packages.
  • Support the maintenance of client liaison for assigned projects.
  • Support manpower estimates for internal resources on projects.
  • Support management and control budget and resources on projects.
  • Provide reporting information to both clients and management.
  • Work with other disciplines to ensure project close-out is complete and documents are filed and stored correctly.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Post-Secondary Education / Designation -

  • Degree in Engineering, PEng

Specialized Educational Needs -

  • PMP

Supplementary Educational Needs -

  • Management Training


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience project engineering on all projects, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-learning skills.


KNOWLEDGE BASE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, equipment requirements and specifications.
  • Understanding of processes common in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of other disciplines and the interface requirements.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to comply with, standards and procedures in Tridyne Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Understanding of clients’ business and related processes to provide quality solutions quickly and efficiently.
