Duration: 6+ Months

Primary Function
Under close supervision, schedule and monitor all activities of production to ensure the full availability of parts at the work station within established timeframes. Act as the main liaison between Production and Supply Management and assist Intermediate and Senior MRP Controllers as required.

Working Procedure
  1. Assure manufactured or purchased parts are available at the appropriate work stations.
  2. Analyze requirements and transactions to maintain accurate coverage of parts.
  3. Based on the master calendar for production, release orders, shop orders, and call of material to the warehouse with established manufacturing strategies.
  4. Analyze and issue schedules for sub-assemblies based on the master calendar (planning charts).
  5. Maintain the material master parameters to assure inventory availability, optimization, and total inventory cost reduction strategies.
  6. Execute all transactions to provide and maintain accurate information in a timely fashion in SAP, including COGI.
  7. Ensure that all emergencies are escalated and followed up until resolution, including monitoring of parts retained by Quality Assurance and their restoration into the production schedule.
  8. Implement methods changes to production orders to incorporate the latest revision of technical documentation, parts applications, etc., ensuring they are updated on the shop floor at all times.
  9. Determine the quantities of manufactured and purchased parts required in inventory, according to value, deadlines, space, and shelf life with respect to budgetary objectives, analyze gaps between theoretical inventory and physically verified, and manage obsolete inventory/surplus.
  10. Maintain and implement the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) for their scope of work.
  11. Perform machine loading functions and analyze future production loads.
  12. Provide BOS support.

Qualifications
College diploma in Industrial Engineering and/or Bachelor degree in Operations Management or similar.

The Following Would Be Considered An Asset
  1. Intermediate skills in MS Excel.
  2. General knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  3. MRP knowledge.
  4. SAP knowledge.
