SUMMARY

The Junior Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting various functions within the Payroll Department.

Location: Acheson, AB

Shift: Monday-Friday

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

JOB DUTIES

  • Data Entry – setting up, terminating and processing employee changes into ADP
  • Keep accurate records of all transactions and related back up
  • Maintain electronic file system related to employee activity
  • Monitor employee inactivity
  • Comply with audit requirements
  • Adhere to Collective Agreements, applicable legislation, and various Company policies/procedures
  • May be required to compile required remittance data and submit requisitions for payment (weekly and monthly)
  • May be required to retrieve, review, and submit ROE’s via ROE Web
  • Provide payroll coverage when necessary
  • Provide benefit coverage back up when necessary
  • Various other duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience with ADP would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
  • Must be able to work under pressure, to multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience within the industrial construction industry would also be considered an asset
