About the Role


The Product Development Engineer will involved in the entire product development cycle from initial product research and feasibility to tooling, packaging, etc. until product release. We provide the opportunity to own the project and be involved in all aspects of product development.



Position Responsibilities


· Research into the current outdoor accessories and decor market and identification of trends and opportunities

· Creation of design concept and product ideation

· Creation of 3D drawings while considering limitations relating to size, price, injection molding capabilities etc.

· Involvement in the product refinement and testing process

· Submission of RFQ to various tooling manufacturers for new product tooling

· Assist in the management of tooling manufacturing with third party tool makers

· Assist in the management of current company tools

· Liaising with the content team to ensure product content (photos/videos) is created accurately and on time

· Communicating and working with local and overseas manufacturers and tool makers

· Researching new injection molding and manufacturing technologies



Experience & Education


· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in plastic product design and development.

· Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion or similar.

· Strong understanding of plastic materials, manufacturing processes, and design for injection molding.

· Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, such as 3D printing.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Detail-oriented and organized, with a passion for creating innovative and functional designs.
