JOB SUMMARY:

The FP&A Analyst is a key member of the Finance department and supports the Financial Analyst in all reporting and analysis efforts. This individual is responsible for supporting aspects of budgeting, planning and analysis for the overall organization. The position will work within the Finance Department and will support management to design/create and improve complex financial models (including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Bank Covenants Tracking), and support the annual budget development. This position will analyze key areas of the business to aid in the review and/or improvement of business performance (KPI’s, performance metrics, trend analysis, etc.). The successful candidate will be expected to routinely provide opportunities for improvement to financial management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist corporate finance and senior management with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting

· Monitor and analyze budget variances to recommend continuous improvement opportunities

· Build and manage in-depth financial models to support new business opportunities, financing initiatives and divestitures

· Perform ad-hoc analyses in support of business initiatives

· Support due diligence efforts when required

· Support preparation and review of monthly Executive Leadership packages

· Assist in effectively planning and budgeting business results

· Suggest, develop, and maintain business KPI’s, performance metrics, and trend analysis on business results

· Support global cash management processes and related activities

· Assist with financial systems expansion – opportunity to think strategically and leverage new data tools while validating to ensure consistency of site reporting

Skills and Competencies include but are not limited to:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Accounting, Reporting and Analysis.
  • Clear understanding of P&L and balance sheet relationship.
  • Ability to quickly learn ERP systems.
  • Problem solving skills to identify problems, gather and analyze information skillfully to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Oral communication skills to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrate group presentation skills in conducts meetings.
  • Written Communication skills to self-edit written reports, emails, and outside correspondence for spelling, grammar, and punctuation and that communication is precise, clearly communicated, and correctly interpreted by its audience.
  • Planning/organizing skills to prioritize work and plan activities to maximize time efficiently.
  • Quality control that demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in final work product, good listening skills, diplomatic, and sensitive in responding to employee and new hire questions and inquiries.
  • Adaptability to manage competing demands and manage ever-changing priorities, delays, or unexpected events.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.

Experience:

Minimum two (2) years of accounting/FP&A experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment).

Computer Skills:

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); ERP System (MAS 500, Longview Khalix)

Communication Skills:

Precise communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate with internal colleague groups and customers.
