About Avicanna

Avicanna is a diversified and vertically integrated Canadian biopharmaceutical company focused on the research, development and commercialization of plant-derived cannabinoid-based products for the global consumer, medical, and pharmaceutical market segments. We are seeking an innovative digital marketing coordinator to join our Marketing team and drive our company's digital communications across various platforms. We are seeking someone who is driven, resilient, analytic, a self-starter, independent, entrepreneurial and solution oriented. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical and well-organized, with passion for wellness. The ideal candidate will be highly technical and savvy across all digital platforms and technologies with core competencies in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Meta and the Google suite of properties. You'll be responsible for planning and optimizing digital campaigns to ensure our campaigns meet client objectives. You'll have a strong proficiency in Meta & the Google Ads suite and a successful track record in running lead generation campaigns.


Job Overview


  • Build marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud including campaign setup, email setup, testing, scheduling, tracking, and measuring campaigns to drive short-term and long-term results.
  • Orchestrate multi-channel customer journeys using Journey Builder, including digital channels such as email, webinars, messaging, forms, landing pages, in-app messaging, and web.
  • Set up webinar programs in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including email invitations, reminders, landing pages and forms.
  • Create and maintain lists, segmentations, and data extensions.
  • Optimize marketing automation programs with a focus on driving engagement, efficiency, and scalability
  • Provide campaign-level reporting on email, webinar, and other marketing channels.
  • Consult with marketing stakeholders on marketing automation and email marketing best practices to drive channel effectiveness.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders to execute marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to plan, design, and execute digital campaigns, website strategies, and social media.
  • Create, optimize, and manage successful digital campaigns. Proficient in Google with experience across various social and digital programmatic platforms an asset
  • Ensure effective reporting and communication of all technical elements in digital plans/strategies to clients, maintaining a proactive approach with solutions and plans.
  • Identify trends in digital marketing, adjusting strategies to maximize performance and spend.
  • Improve the customer journey through multi-channel touchpoints, enhancing lead generation funnels.
  • Maintain digital marketing assets and contribute to annual marketing plans across species and retail platforms.

What you will need to succeed

  • 5 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. HTML, and SQL are an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, communication or similar
  • Minimum 5 years experience in branding, social media and working knowledge of all social platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud
  • Strong technical knowledge using Salesforce Marketing Cloud within depth understanding of technical configuration, customization and integration concepts
  • Experience with an email platform; specifically, campaign setup, list segmentation, personalization, and automation.
  • Excellent grasp of best practices for email marketing
  • Fast Learner – Can achieve power-user status on multiple tools quickly
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful.
  • Experience and ability to troubleshoot and resolve email issues.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM and CASL legislation.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Office programs, and Google Analytics 4.
  • An excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as email sender score, deliverability, and sender reputation.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
