As an Enterprise Application Architect at Bell Canada, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing application solutions for our Business Support Systems (BSS). Your expertise and strategic mindset will be instrumental in optimizing our application architecture, ensuring seamless integration, and automation, and enhancing the overall performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Application Architect, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Lead the creation and evolution of the enterprise architecture program/function, specifically related to application architecture.
  2. Develop and maintain an integration architecture blueprint for the BSS Domains.
  3. Plan, execute and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  4. Lead the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business strategy and requirements.
  5. Participate in large projects as a team member, influencing the technology decisions to ensure the integrity of the overall IT architecture components.
  6. Formulate, translate, advocate, support and execute business strategy to achieve the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  7. Construct technology-enabled operating models and provide viable options and visibility into execution issues.
  8. Work with Application Developers, Business Analysts and Infrastructure Analysts to continually improve and maintain the alignment of IT with business goals and objectives.
  9. Lead vendor working groups to provide direction in capabilities and technology choices.
  10. Support the development of a framework to build and develop systems to meet future needs.
  11. Identify areas that can benefit from shared technology to reduce inefficiencies and duplication.
Qualifications
  1. Extensive hands-on experience in Enterprise Architecture.
  2. Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
  3. Solutions Architect or Developer Azure/Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services certifications preferred.
  4. ServiceNow or Salesforce Platform Implementation recommended.
  5. TOGAF certified preferred.
  6. Cloud-ready architectures utilizing infrastructure and platform cloud services for Azure, AWS, GCP.
  7. Service-oriented, event-driven and microservices architectures.
  8. Web/Mobile architecture stacks.
  9. Previous experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting enterprise level applications with a cloud first approach.
  10. Knowledge of GenAI technologies is highly desirable: LLM models (GPT-4, ChatGPT, Gemini, Llama, etc.), Agent Orchestration Frameworks (Semantic Kernel and LangChain), Vector Databases (Azure AI Search, etc.), Retrieval Augmented Generation, Azure OpenAI Services, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Microsoft Copilots, etc.
  11. Persistence such as RDBMS/NoSQL (MS SQL, Mongo DB) data stores and appropriate use cases.
  12. Experience with software development tools and defect tracking systems like JIRA, GCP/AWS DevOps.
  13. Working with high-level UX principles such as user stories, persona building, prototype/prototype development approaches and information architecture and customer/product research methodologies.
  14. Experience with Agile methodologies.
  15. Extensive hands-on experience with architecture tools such as LeanIX, ArchiMate.
  16. GCP, AWS, RPA, are nice to have.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
