Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Responsibilities:

  1. Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  2. Supervise and train other workers
  3. Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences
  4. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  5. Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies
  6. Schedule and confirm appointments
  7. Manage training and development strategies
  8. Answer telephone and relay calls and messages
  9. Compile data, statistics, and other information
  10. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  11. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  12. Oversee payroll administration
  13. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
  14. Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
  15. Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  16. Open and distribute incoming mail and coordinate the flow of information
  17. Set up and maintain manual and computerized filing systems
  18. Type and proofread correspondence and other documents
