Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a UX Researcher who will be responsible for defining research questions, creating the research approach and participant recruitment plan, and selecting appropriate methods of data collection and analysis. The successful candidate will work with service design directors, designers, and business stakeholders to understand and support their research needs while maintaining and building relationships across various stakeholder groups.


Responsibilities:

  • Research preparation: creation of participant screeners; recruiting from internal employee panels or working with vendors to recruit external participants; creating research protocols
  • Data collection: conducting design research methods including observation/ethnography, diary studies, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, etc.
  • Analysis: utilizing qualitative and quantitative approaches to make sense of the data collected
  • Reporting: translating findings into easily understandable insights used to drive creativity and inform design, in diverse formats including experience maps, usability test reports, personas, etc.
  • Vendor oversight: as required, oversee research vendors carrying out studies on behalf of Design Research


Desired Skill Set:

  • 4 years of proven experience in end to end project management
  • 4 years of strong understanding of Design Research Methodology
  • 4 years of advanced visual storytelling skills with PowerPoint/presentation decks
  • 4 years of experience in Data collection and requirements gathering
  • 4 years of experience with multiple different research methodologies
  • 4 years of proven track record of leading the creation of major UX deliverables, high-level designs, detailed user flows
  • Good understanding of user-centric design and related design disciplines
  • Undergraduate degree in psychology, anthropology, computer science, industrial engineering, human factors, human-computer interaction or a related field
