Senior UX Researcher

The Senior UX Researcher will play a pivotal role in the Advanced Tech (AT) stream, focusing on the UX needs of the On-Grid Robotic Pick product. This role encompasses both research into the software and hardware aspects of this product and involves partnering with Product Managers to scale the product in an embedded manner. The Senior UX Researcher will join a small ATUX team and have an independent portfolio to work on, requiring expertise in UX of robotic arms from both hardware and software perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to align UX efforts with roadmap objectives and deadlines.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze user research studies to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
  • Utilize various research methods, including testing hardware usability at early stages of the build.
  • Provide research insights to partner PMs to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to UX deliverables and artefacts that meet user and product stream missions/objectives.
  • Share knowledge within the UX community and collaborate with other UXers and Product teams.
  • Challenge ideas/problems and validate solutions using data and insights from end users, retailers, and stakeholders.
  • Understand product and user access constraints to determine effective research methodologies.
  • Deliver insights with an eye on future product needs.
  • Juggle multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
  • Strong prior experience in UX research, preferably in B2B and/or hardware settings.
  • Knowledge of working with mixed teams/functional areas, including product management, software engineering, hardware engineering, and UX/UI design.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, track, and deliver on commitments.
  • Proven experience working at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Intellectual rigour and ability to pick up new skills quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team effectively and/or work autonomously.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capturing business needs and user requirements to support product realization.
