Destinationone Consulting is looking for a Business Development Partner in Vancouver.

You are an ambitious and driven professional with a passion for sales, networking, and relationship building, and an in-depth knowledge of the recruitment industry. You have a hunter mentality, don’t take “no” for an answer, and have a track record of success in product and/or service sales.

This role reports to the Managing Partner and has tremendous growth opportunity.

Summary of the Role: As a Business Development Partner, you will be responsible for developing new business by utilizing your network, identifying target companies, and contacts within the many verticals that our company focuses on. Your focus is to pursue new clients with the purpose of developing long-term business relationships with clients.

What you'll be doing:

  • Represent our recruitment services to executives at new clients/potential clients.
  • Search and identify target companies and contacts with a purpose of developing a long-term business relationship.
  • Cold-call target-market contacts to obtain an active job order and develop a long-term business relationship.
  • Provide top quality services to maintain and grow client accounts.
  • Close a required number of accounts every month and quarter.
  • Consistent growth in business with respective client accounts and steady pipeline growth.
  • Understand each job order clearly with technical and experience expectations. Represent Destinationone Consulting Group in industry networking events, establish and build business relationships with target-market contacts.
  • Think outside-the-box and find creative solutions to business development obstacles.
  • Creatively utilize social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) for business development and relationship building purposes.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of and seasoned experience in the recruitment industry with an existing network.
  • Confident, persistent, enthusiastic, a self-starter, and independent.
  • Passion and drive for outside sales.
  • Professional with excellent presentation and communication skills. 3+ years of relevant experience in recruitment and equivalent sales experience.
  • Ability to develop and close business of $1 million and above annually.
  • You must be able to thrive under pressure and excel in a fast-paced, sales-oriented, and entrepreneurial work environment.
