Senior Contaminated Sites Specialist

Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. (MEMS) is growing, and we are hiring two Senior Contaminated Sites Specialists with a minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in a consulting environment. Preference will be given to those candidates with strong writing and interpersonal skills, organizational abilities and technical competency. The successful candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Engagement
    1. Provide technical direction and mentoring regarding the execution of assessment and risk projects including file reviews, compilation of complex data sets, development of conceptual site models, and development of creative solutions to manage challenging contaminated sites and develop risk-based recommendations.
    2. Ensure the discipline is current with internal and external policies affecting the discipline.
    3. Identify competency gaps within the discipline and assist in training that is required to address.
    4. Develop technical resources and utilize training to improve internal aspects of the discipline.
    5. Promote the company externally in regard to technical advancement.
    6. Complete senior review and provide technical direction in preparation of proposals and work scopes for assessment and risk projects and tasks.
    7. Taking a leading technical role in risk assessment projects for complex sites.
    8. Technical review and sign-off of reports prepared by other assessment and risk project staff.
    9. Provide technical support as needed to other Millennium services groups.
    10. Any other duties assigned.
  2. Portfolio & Client Management
    1. Contributing, implementing, and maintaining client business growth plans, creating the conditions that result in long-term repeat business.
    2. Managing diverse clients and portfolios of projects.
    3. Developing and maintaining direct contact with clients and stakeholders.
    4. Communicating client intel to Management/Executive and work to develop appropriate responses.
    5. Compliance with MEMS' systems including project financial management and project safety.
    6. Working with the Business Development team by facilitating opportunities for networking, meeting with potential clients, and providing client intelligence and technical resources to support business development activities.
  3. Mentorship and training
    1. Identify competency gaps within the discipline and assist in the coordination of required training.
    2. Contribute to the development and evolution of mentorship and competency training programs.
    3. Collaborate internally with Executive, Employee Resources, Service Group Directors to develop and evolve effective service group teams.
    4. Provide direct mentorship to staff.
    5. Other duties required.
