POSITION SUMMARY

:

Reporting directly to the Director, the Supervisor is in charge of overseeing both administrative and clinical supervision at the Parkwood Addiction Treatment facility in Brandon. Their role involves actively participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of both community-based and in-house treatment programs. Utilizing their expertise, the Supervisor ensures a client-centered philosophy remains the core focus, integrated into all aspects of program development and service provision to maintain a high-functioning and professional team within a culture centered around clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview:

  • Lead and/or engage in staff recruitment activities.
  • Supervise training and orientation for new hires.
  • Communicate with staff in a collaborative and team-building manner while providing clear direction.
  • Support staff in problem-solving, balancing their needs with clients' and organizational priorities.
  • Chair regular staff meetings and set clear expectations.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Offer clinical and program guidance, coaching, and decision-making support.
  • Contribute to program services coordination, development, and evaluation.
  • Participate in budget planning and management.
  • Ensure efficient administrative functions and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations for service integration and client referrals.
  • Communicate respectfully with clients and staff.
  • Respond promptly and responsibly to staff requests and crises.
  • Engage in professional development activities and ethical responsibilities.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.
