The Residential Care Worker is a vital member of our multi-disciplinary team at Prairie Mountain Health, providing essential services to adult clients engaged in addiction treatment. This role requires a strong commitment to a client-centered philosophy and approach to program development, provision, and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and presence to clients, responding warmly and helpfully to their needs.
- Respond appropriately to emergency crisis situations, modeling positive behavior for clients.
- Conduct facility orientations and facilitate educational sessions and client house meetings.
- Perform light housekeeping and maintenance duties, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Perform building security duties, maintaining a secure and respectful atmosphere.
- Coordinate and distribute client and program supplies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Copy program materials and respond to telephone calls, maintaining effective communication.
- Document client interactions and progress, adhering to role requirements.
- Communicate respectfully and positively with clients and staff, presenting a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion, providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
- Exhibit flexibility and responsiveness to client requests and crises, prioritizing their needs.
- Balance the needs of clients, staff, and the organization, ensuring a cohesive and supportive team environment.
