Job Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to adult clients engaged in addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and be present with clients in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.
  • Respond to emergency crisis situations in a calm and professional manner, modeling positive behavior for clients.
  • Conduct facility orientations and facilitate educational sessions and client house meetings.
  • Perform light housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Coordinate and distribute client and program supplies, and respond to telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Document client interactions and progress according to role requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff, presenting a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for client-centered care and exhibit empathy and compassion in all interactions.
  • Balance the needs of clients, staff, and the organization, while maintaining a commitment to personal and professional ethics.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities and engage in reciprocal learning experiences with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Recognize the importance of regular individual and team supervision meetings, and demonstrate active listening abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a calm and tactful composure under challenging circumstances.
