POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities: Purchasing, logistics planning and tracking, client communications

Employment: Full-Time, up to 40 hours per week

Hours: From 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Location: 2080 Van Dyke Place, Richmond, BC

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use the company's inventory management system to plan and place purchase orders
  • Maintain the company's tracking files for container movements and processing
  • Communicate with the company's vendors and clients regarding deliveries
  • Dispatch carriers and drivers and prepare bills of lading for deliveries

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience in a purchasing role, logistics role, and/or experience working at a freight forwarder or freight broker
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise skills and asset
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and a high degree of selfinitiative
  • Clear communication abilities in English both verbal and written
  • A mature and professional demeanor
