- Perform administrative tasks with high speed and accuracy as required (lineitem entry, pricing, etc.)
- Investigate, follow up and resolve all discrepancies and/or inquiries from Buying team as well as external vendors/suppliers.
- Address discrepancies to the Purchasing Lead to ensure accuracy and suggest actions.
- Conduct effective inventory management by assessing return authorizations, writeoffs, count corrections, recalls and other inventory adjustments.
- Conduct transfers between store locations to make required inventory adjustments.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks and communicate/resolve issues including vendor delays, invoicing issues, damages, short shipments, late deliveries and product recalls.
- Be an active participant in assisting cycle counts/annual inventory counts by troubleshooting, assessing data and creating reports through the use of scanning tools and other hardware.
- Assist buyers with administrative tasks related to inventory management.
- Take initiative in trouble shooting and process efficiencies by utilizing industry research, tech support and analytics.
- Learn and understand current product processes and recommend improvements by replacing manual processes with technological solutions.
- Ensure freight BOL/invoices are available to receiving team to ensure all shipping/receiving discrepancies are documented and reported upon delivery of goods.
- Stay current to POS system requirements for inventory management and work alongside technical support to provide solutions.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical skills that stem from understanding/creating reporting, documentation and information flow.
- Demonstrated strong problemsolving skills
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of products as well as an understanding of Google Sheets and other Google online software is a strong asset
- Familiar with retail Point of Sale (POS) systems and functions including but not limited to CounterPoint.
- Good verbal/written communication skills as well as demonstration of high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods of time
- Comfortable with working within changing environments (i.e., weather)
- Retail experience a plus
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as seasonal peaks require
