The opportunity
We are looking for a temporary contract Accounting Assistant to support our office. The primary responsibility for this role is to provide accounting and administrative support to the team during tax season. The duration of the contract will be March to May 2024. The hours of work will be 9am to 5pm. The office is located at 5160 Yonge Street and the successful applicant will work in office.
- Assisting with the preparation of personal income tax returns
- Contacting clients to solicit tax return information
- Logging documentation of incoming information from clients
- CRA document management review
- Organization of all documentation and information for accuracy and record retention
- Research and support effective tax returns to maximize tax savings
- Other adhoc duties as required
- Solid understanding of taxation principles
- Previous bookkeeping and experience with tax returns an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills and a proven ability to multitask
- Knowledge in Intuit Profile, Word and Excel is an asset
- Commitment and organizational skills required to meet deadlines
- Energetic and enthusiastic team player
- Proactive with a proven track record of providing bestinclass client experience
