This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations, improving services to our clients, and supporting our administrative team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our non-profit legal clinic, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems, processes, and procedures, including case management, client intake, and record-keeping.
  • Lead the administrative team, fostering a supportive environment that promotes high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our legal team to ensure that the needs of refugees and refugee claimants are met efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with legal ethics and professional responsibilities.
  • Manage the operational budget, optimize resources, and execute cost-effective strategies to maximize the use of available funds.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to client confidentiality, record management, and legal practice.
  • Act as a liaison within the organization, coordinating with other departments focused on social services for refugees and refugee claimants.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, such as funding agencies, government entities, and community partners.
  • Assess organizational performance against goals regularly, report findings to the board of directors, and propose solutions for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-profit Management, Political Science or a related field. An advanced degree or certification is desirable.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in operations management, preferably within the non-profit or legal sector.
  • Fluency in French and English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of the legal system, particularly as it pertains to refugees and refugee claimants.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and non-profit funding processes.
  • Proficiency in using office software and legal case management systems.

Principales responsabilités :

  • Superviser les opérations quotidiennes de notre clinique juridique à but non lucratif, en veillant à ce qu'elles soient conformes à notre mission et à nos valeurs.
  • Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et contrôler les systèmes, processus et procédures opérationnels, y compris la gestion des dossiers, l'accueil des clients et la tenue des registres.
  • Diriger l'équipe administrative, en favorisant un environnement de soutien qui encourage des niveaux élevés de performance et de satisfaction au travail.
  • Collaborer avec notre équipe juridique pour veiller à ce que les besoins des réfugiés et des demandeurs d'asile soient satisfaits de manière efficiente et efficace, dans le respect de l'éthique juridique et des responsabilités professionnelles.
  • Gérer le budget opérationnel, optimiser les ressources et mettre en œuvre des stratégies rentables afin de maximiser l'utilisation des fonds disponibles.
  • Veiller au respect des exigences réglementaires, y compris celles liées à la confidentialité des clients, à la gestion des dossiers et à la pratique juridique.
  • Assurer la liaison au sein de l'organisation, en coordonnant les activités avec d'autres services axés sur les services sociaux destinés aux réfugiés et aux demandeurs d'asile.
  • S'engager auprès des parties prenantes externes, telles que les organismes de financement, les entités gouvernementales et les partenaires communautaires.
  • Évaluer régulièrement les performances de l'organisation par rapport aux objectifs, rendre compte des résultats au conseil d'administration et proposer des solutions d'amélioration.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en gestion d'organisations à but non lucratif ou dans un domaine connexe. Un diplôme supérieur ou une certification est souhaitable.
  • Un minimum de 1 ans d'expérience en gestion des opérations, de préférence dans le secteur juridique ou communautaire.
  • La maîtrise du français et de l'anglais est requise. La maîtrise de l'espagnol est un atout majeur.
  • Forte compréhension du système juridique, en particulier en ce qui concerne les réfugiés et les demandeurs d'asile.
  • Capacités de leadership avérées et expérience de la gestion d'une équipe.
  • Compétences exceptionnelles en matière de relations interpersonnelles, de communication et d'administration.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression et à s'adapter à des circonstances changeantes.
  • Connaissance de la conformité réglementaire et des processus de financement des organisations à but non lucratif.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de bureautique et des systèmes de gestion des dossiers juridiques.
