The University Endowment Lands (UEL) is an unincorporated area located between the City of Vancouver and the University of British Columbia, with a population of approximately 4,000 residents.

The UEL operates under the authority of the University Endowment Land Act, and the UEL Manager is appointed by the Minister under Section 15(1) of the Act to administer the University Endowment Lands.


The UEL administration office functions in a manner similar to a municipal office within a city or any other incorporated area within the province, and provides a similar range of services.

Costs of providing services to the UEL, including public works, administration, water and fire protection to residents, are recovered from residents through a combination of permit fees, water sales, licenses, other revenues and property taxes.


Job Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years related work experience.
  • Hold a valid BC Driver's Licence.

  • Outdoor work in all weather environment.
