This position operates autonomously and requires strong negotiation, monitoring, and consultative skills. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders such as Seniors, Community and Social Services personnel, and service providers is vital for assessing service needs and resolving emerging issues.

As the Contract and Procurement Specialist, your main objectives include:

  • Relationship Management and Communication: Establish and nurture a network of relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate with delivery staff and service providers to oversee contracts and grants, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Planning: Identify trends and seize opportunities to procure quality services aligned with ministry goals.
