As a key player in this role, you will offer essential coaching and support to our leadership teams, positively impacting various aspects of human resources management that directly enhance the quality of life for our seniors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Align HR expertise with GEF's mission, vision, and Quality of Life Philosophy to support organizational objectives
  • Support the payroll management team by assisting with the processing of payroll schedules and related documentation
  • Enhance the administration of Sun Life and other employee benefits programs through diligent management support
  • Assist in streamlining performance management systems to align with strategic objectives Help manage employee relations investigations and support disciplinary processes to maintain a harmonious workplace
  • Facilitate positive relations with employees by assisting in addressing their concerns and supporting engagement initiatives
  • Help in handling disability management including coordinating claims and facilitating returntowork plans
  • Assist in the effective implementation and management of the HRIS system to optimize HR processes
  • Aid in the implementation and management of various HR initiatives, programs, and activities
  • Utilize HR data analysis and reporting, providing valuable insights and recommendations to the HR Manager and leadership team in all HR functions
  • Stay wellinformed of and advise the leadership team on various provincial legislation, employment standards
  • Participate in other ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 5 years as a Human Resources Generalist, with expertise in Recruitment, Performance Management, Benefits, Health and Safety, Employee Relations, Compensation and disability case management
  • PC proficiency and adept at using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Teams
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, employment law, and current emerging practices and standards
  • Previous experience with Dayforce HRIS implementation would be an asset Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and tact
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Valid Driver's License

Details:
Full time, Days, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Scale:
Commensurate with education and experience

Location:

Central Services, Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, T5N 4B3 (travel between various GEF sites is required, mileage paid)
