The Member Service Floor Lead must have and continue to develop knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Impeccable attendance & punctuality; ability to clockin/out accurately
  • Knowledge of whole, natural, and organic foods and the impact consumer choices have on local farmers, producers, and communities
  • Cooperative, respectful communication skills
  • Ability to approach problems with a positive attitude and have creative, constructive solutions on hand
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
  • Basic understanding of the cooperative movement and what makes us different
  • General product knowledge, such as location of items or categories within the store / To become familiar with the products and resources the coop
has to offer and know their location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide excellent customer service to members and nonmembers in the store
  • Assist with the general flow of customers at the front, including assisting with grocery bagging, carryouts and processing customer transactions on
till when needed

  • In the absence of the Floor Supervisor, lead the floor staff through their day, which includes being aware of cashier breaks to ensure excellent till
coverage, giving direction for tasks in the department or directing them for further coverage in other departments to ensure efficient use of time,
and ensure timely communication to cashiers regarding daily schedule changes

  • Assist cashiers with till procedures and difficult customers
  • Assist and direct cashiers in maintaining store cleanliness and organization i

  • Assist customers with resources at the customer service desk including cooking class sign up, kids cards, home shops, refunds/returns, new member
sign ups, etc.

  • Develop and maintain an uptodate understanding off all member services and marketing initiatives
  • Assist with marketing/customer service initiatives, including ensuring instore publications are available to customers
  • Convey customer needs and concerns, including pricing errors, not already being addressed to the front end manager or relevant department manager
  • Comply with the policies and procedures set out in the Employee Policy Handbook and the Health & Safety Manual
  • Support the Member Service Admin team as needed
  • Other duties and fillin as required.

Salary:
From $17.00 per hour
