BC/Sask Lab Automation Specialist Job Description

The Lab Automation Specialist (Capital Equipment Sales) will work alongside the BD Diagnostic Systems (DS) Sales & Clinical Solutions team, Marketing team, and Corporate Account team to support and drive account strategy and regional growth initiatives.

You will handle the Diagnostic Systems full portfolio in assigned accounts/territory in British Columbia and Saskatchewan, and will will need to be located in either provinces .

Identifying and driving accelerated growth opportunities within the microbiology lab market.
Drive adoption of BD Kiestra Lab Automation and complimentary BD Diagnostic solutions
Leading a network of Key Opinion leaders within the regional/national market
Maintain an accurate and complete sales funnel for opportunities and company required sales tools/reporting.
Understand and drive sales in all DS platforms within defined accounts – selling the complete DS offering and total solutions

Sales Skills:
Demonstrates High degree of Commercial Intensity through a solution sales approach. Understand the Canadian market and the buying dynamics of key accounts and purchasing organizations.

Sales Abilities:
Proven success within a complex selling situation that engages executive decision makers. Strong understanding of financial positioning to drive complex solution sales.
Maintains and develops a network of coaches within their customer base. Is able to lead within a matrix sales organization.
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field.
~5+ years sales experience, capital sales strongly preferred
~ Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
~ Must be flexible and meet travel needs based on business needs; able to travel 30% to include overnight and weekends.
~ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years; as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.
