What will you do
This position's primary responsibility is supporting the Marketed Product Stability Program and Annual Product Quality Review for Consumer Canada. These activities support product launch, product release processes and product life cycle management.

Issue resolution and root cause determination are key assets of the role ensuring customer engagement and adherence to procedural requirements.

The role interacts regionally and globally to influence effective and timely solutions to local market requirements for Consumer Commercial Quality.

This role ensures that Consumer Canada operates in compliance with internal procedures, Canadian regulatory requirements, and Consumer Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational knowledge of Government GMP regulations and Corporate Policies affecting the fabrication, packaging and testing of products procured by Consumer Canada
  • Manage the Marketed Product Stability (MPS) Program by coordinating, monitoring, reviewing and approving stability protocols and test results provided by affiliate and external manufacturers
  • Ensure Quality Reporting metrics for MPS are completed in a timely manner and that appropriate corrective action plans are in place for any identified areas of concern
  • Coordinate, monitor and review Annual Product Quality Reviews for Consumer Canada, including critical issue of followup activities as warranted
  • Develop strategic partnerships with global and local partners contributing to productive working relationship driving innovative solutions while ensuring compliance
  • Initiate actions in identifying nonvalue added activities and coordinate efforts around the implementation of innovations to continuously improve existing systems and processes internally and externally
  • Lead or represent team or Franchise Quality on task forces/committees, as identified
  • Support site audits of Consumer. Canada (Guelph & Markham Campus) from Health Canada, FDA and Corporate, and assist with effective and timely remediation of all deficiencies, as appropriate
  • Promote a compliance culture through training and maintaining open communication with all business partners

Qualifications:

What we are looking for
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum
  • B.Sc Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or similar related science discipline
  • Minimum
2 years of previous work experience in the pharmaceutical industry within Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs or Manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Health Canada GMPs and ICH Guidelines
