The Program Facilitator works as a collaborative member of a team to assist autistic adults to learn new skills and participate in the community.

The Program Facilitator supports the development and implementation programming, leaning modules and support plans in line with established curriculum to increase the independence of young adults with autism.


Responsibilities:

Work with autistic adults in the Centre and in community settings including community apartments

Within the scope of practice, support the development and implementation of curriculum for all participants under the direction of the Team Leads

Create teaching plans and learning modules for assigned participants

Collect data, and complete daily notes using an internal tracking system

Contribute to the ongoing development of the Quest for Independence program

Prepare instructional materials as needed

Collaboratively prepare and plan activities daily

Provide administrative support as required

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field or similar combined education and experience

1 year of experience working with autistic individuals

Familiarity with and ability to implement adult learning principles

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Strong desire to work with adults with autism and their support systems

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Participate in ongoing training

Dependable with a strong work ethic

Ability to adapt to change

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Must have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to drive participants. (compensation provided)

Clear Police Information check, Clean Intervention Record check and valid First Aid with CPR

Salary:
From $22.81 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
