Position Overview:


The Partner Marketing Manager leads all aspects of any partner marketing program activations with the goal to drive performance for DBI and the respective (vendor) partner.

To achieve this goal, this role works closely with DBI's vendor and partner community, and Merchandising leadership to confirm overall partner strategy, program elements, brand/product strategies and messaging that align with The Shoe Co.

and DSW business objectives and merchandising strategy. The role liaises closely with the extended Marketing team (e.g. graphic design and performance marketing) as well as cross functional team members, including but not limited to merchandising, operations, and ecommerce to ensure program elements come to life effectively across all channels to grow brand business sales.


In addition to working closely with the merchant partners on the key program elements and the partner marketing calendar for the year, the Partner Marketing Manager leads the day-to-day activities to successfully launch each partner brand activation.

As part of the program delivery, this role collaborates with performance marketing to provide in-depth partner brand program analysis to optimize the activation.


Responsibilities include:
Planning and Calendar Management of Partner Brand Engagements

  • Leads overall partner program planning process
  • Collaborates on annual calendar/roadmap for coop partnership opportunities working with merchant leadership
  • Manages partner relationships from program inception to delivery and post mortem
  • Manages the partner marketing calendar on an ongoing basis holding internal stakeholders and external partners accountable
  • Integrates coop/partner brand activations into the overall seasonal marketing & loyalty calendar and monthly cadence
  • Plans, coordinates, and manages monthly and weekly coop marketing activations/ activities
Delivery and Assessment of Partner Brand Engagements

  • Leads the development and execution of all coop program elements ensuring alignment on product focus & vendor assets, briefing the design teams, obtaining vendor approvals, and executing all assets collaborating with cross functional stakeholders
  • Manages vendor discussions on partner brand marketing program (in coordination with merchant partners) starting with the kickoff meeting, ongoing weekly calls and post mortem reviews with key internal stakeholders
  • Develops, updates, and shares associated vendor DBI presentations including partner program documents, brand specific creative asset reviews, and feeds into program analysis reports.
  • Liaises with loyalty team to ensure smooth execution of any partner brand loyalty overlays

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' marketing experience preferably in retail or packaged goods
  • 3+ years in partner/coop marketing and or related field including merchandising, marketing at a partner brand
  • A degree in marketing & brand management (or similar)
  • Proficiency in digital marketing
  • Experience in managing external vendor partnerships and internal crossfunctional team members
  • Passion, selfstarter, quick learner, selfinitiative, and proactivity, "rollup your sleeves" mindset
  • Team leadership and orientation, personable and presentable
  • Strong administration, project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • High computer proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
