About the Position
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for many safety and quality initiatives, customer service, staffing and training, operational performance, and efficiency in their division.
This role will direct work flow for the site Loader Operators and support Machining and Inspection Operation Managers to ensure optimal work flow and job execution in the yard.
Your Duties
- Ensure yard is maintained by yard staff and all movement in the yard is tracked and recorded in the inventory program for accuracy of customer inventory
- Ensure maintenance of all yard equipment is recorded and outages reported in a timely manner
- Manage all applicable yard costs and quotes while maintaining monthly reporting structure for the yard
- Partner with Machining and Inspection Operation Managers and Loader Operator for ensuring optimal yard performance
- Complete performance management and goal setting with yard staff, motivates and retains existing crew
- Approve time sheets as necessary for yard crew
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience with OCTG tubulars
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity
- Minimum 5 years experience working with inventory programs
- Previous experience running a Loader
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a strong safety culture
- Exposure to Human Resorces with knowledge of performance management is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License (nonGDL).
- Superior detail orientation; values accuracy
- High degree of initiative and ability to work independently
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred
