Summary
Established in 1989, AFD Petroleum is an independent supplier of bulk fuel, lubricants, and on-site storage tanks and systems to customers across western Canada and Alaska.
Reporting to the Service Manager the Shop Technician is required to work on fuel tanks and prepare them for the next job.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regular repairs and maintenance of the fuel tanks and equipment coming into the shop.
- Remove and install piping, hoses, valves Etc. on petroleum storage tanks.
- Housekeeping activities to maintain a safe work environment within the Shop and yard.
- General labor items like painting, decal removal, fuel transfers and cleaning.
- Working with Welders, electricians and other trades as required.
- Operating wheel loader/forklift/overhead cranes
Required Experience/Skills/Education:
- Mechanically inclined person who enjoys a variety of tasks and is willing to learn.
- 3+ years' experience in a shop/field or mechanical environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Clean Driving record
- Professional Attitude
- This is a physical job, so you must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Your Schedule:
- Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday schedule, 8AM5PM, occasional overtime.
