Expertise in all functional areas of Human Resources with focus on employee & labour relations. Acting as a business partner to supervisors and managers on HR and employee relations matters, providing support and guidance to ensure compliance and consistency. Utilizing HR knowledge and experience to identify best practices, deliver innovative enhancements to current programs, and seek efficiencies that add value and align with Sysco strategies.

Addressing associate inquiries following internal customer service guidelines. Providing guidance and recommendations for problem resolution, managing recruitment and selection process, ensuring compliance with Sysco Canada's policies and all relevant legislation. Working with key stakeholders and resources to meet workforce staffing plans, handling required documentation.

Conducting new hire orientation and onboarding, enforcing policies and supporting management in addressing performance or behavior issues. Supporting disability processes and assisting in annual performance management. Ensuring accuracy of HRIS data, providing training and technical support.

Engaging in employee activities to enhance workplace culture. Adhering to Sysco's Food Safety Policy, prioritizing safety and environmental impact awareness.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Completion of post-secondary HR education
  • Knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Local laws
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, HRIS programs, and recruitment platforms
  • HR designation considered an asset
