Student Placement Opportunity - Billing Coordinator

Description


Under the Business Manager's direction, the Student is responsible for sending and payment of invoices, monitoring incoming payments, and resolving revenue discrepancies.

The Billing Clerk runs monthly reports, and ensures transactions and payments are recorded and tracked using various software packages.

Responsibilities
- (This is not a complete list):_

Accounts Receivable

  • Post payments in SAGE and EPIC software;
  • Investigate the unmatched amounts received, including responding to inquires;
  • Process and reconcile Remittance Advice (RA) from OHIP;
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports;
  • Produce Accounts Receivable reports;
  • Support the Assistant Business Manager with tasks related to the monthend and yearend processes.

Accounts Payable**- Process monthly expense and prepare payments;

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, including responding to inquiries and contacting vendors;
  • Prepare monthly Accounts Payable journal entries;
  • Process changes to partners' group Insurance enrolment;
  • Running Accounts Payable monthly reports;
  • Assist with monthend and yearend tasks;

Qualifications

  • Current Postsecondary student in bookkeeping, commerce, accounting, finance, or business administration is required;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current computer accounting and financial software, specifically SAGE;
  • Knowledge and extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of OHIP Schedule of Benefits and RAMQ Manuel des médecins spécialistes is an asset
  • Experience using Adobe.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to remain organized and maintain internal processes;
  • Good time management skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with mínimal supervision;
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills;
  • The ability to speak and comprehending both English and French (Level B+) is an asset.
