Assessment accommodation

Duties:


Research and operation focusing on recovery and separation of components using electrochemical and membrane separation technologies as well as ionic exchange resins.

Developing statistical/phenomenological model.

Writing technical reports.

Preparing technical presentations.

Preparing journal publications.

Water Management Section at CanmetMINING has expertise in process development for mine water treatment and recovery of valuable components from mining effluents from lab-scale to pilot-scale.

Currently enrolled or willing to enroll as a Ph. D student in the field of Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy Engineering or Mining Engineering or Chemistry

Degree equivalency

Experience with wet laboratory techniques and equipment

Experience in analyzing the experimental data.

Conditions of employment:

Reliability Status security clearance

The student must be willing to relocate to Ottawa and perform experiments in CanmetMINING (Natural Resources Canada) laboratories.


Each student hired through the Research Affiliate Program (RAP) must meet the security requirements of the position as a condition of employment, and therefore will be asked by the hiring organization to complete security-relevant documents.
