MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
1
. Communications Marketing, Promotions

  • Monitor and manage agency website and social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to ensure that stakeholders receive uptodate and relevant information on the agency's activities and initiatives
  • Develop promotional and marketing materials as required (i.e., posters, brochures, flyers, invitations, event materials, quarterly newsletters)
  • Manage communication with existing donors and oversee donorrelated activities including processing donations, tax receipting, maintaining accurate donor records and ensuring letters of acknowledgement ( stewardship requirements) are completed
  • Assist the events team with promotion of all fundraising events through the development of event materials, and execution of the events' marketing plans.

2. Office Administration

  • Respond to incoming inquiries, provide exceptional customerservice to all guests and stakeholders
  • Compose and edit correspondence, press releases, and various other documents as needed
  • Assist with managing the agency's electronic filing system and technology

5. Other
- other duties, assigned by Executive Director, as required.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary diploma / degree in a related field of communications, public relations, marketing and promotion or office administration 23 years of related or relevant work experience in the administrative or communications field and interest or experience within a communitybased notforprofit environment would be considered an asset
  • The ability to work well independently and possess excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills.
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is required; knowledge and expertise in working with databases; familiarity with Microsoft CRM and Canada Helps is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills; problem solving skills; attention to detail is imperative.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communications skills would be an asset.
  • Provision of a clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Ability to function in a fast paced office environment where most work will be completed
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate some evening and weekend work which will be required on occasion.
