The Director of Operations is a senior position responsible for overseeing operational functions in our non-profit organization. You play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations and administration, supporting long-term strategic initiatives. Additionally, you manage external service providers in legal, financial services, HR, IT, board services, and travel & events. Building internal capacity for these functions is part of your responsibility with the aim of transitioning to delivering administrative and financial services internally within two to three years.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration.
- Stakeholder and Partners Management: Develop and nurture effective relationships with various stakeholders and partners like government bodies, community groups, and funders.
- Resource Allocation and Budget Control: Supervise budgeting and resource allocation, particularly focusing on financial management and oversight.
- Risk Management: Establish and uphold policies and procedures to mitigate legal and operational risks.
- Service Provider Management: Supervise and administer managed service providers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and quality service delivery.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years in senior management roles within similar organizations, demonstrating extensive experience in leading HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration teams.
- At least 10 years of relevant operations experience, with a strong emphasis on financial management.
- High level of technological proficiency is crucial due to the fully digital nature of our operational processes.
